from the La Hospedería de Ana to The Almodóvar Gate (Puerta de Almodóvar).

The door of Almodóvar is a door of Arabic origin, originally called Puerta del Nogal (Bab al-Chawz) or door of Badajoz, constituting one of the entrance doors of the west wall of the wall and one of the only three doors that remain nowadays of the medieval enclosure of Cordova.

The current door, built in the fourteenth century on the Arab door, consists of two prismatic towers attached as a bridge by a somewhat pointed arch, which develops a high-barrel vault. This arch, which is framed by a slightly raised box, was blinded at the beginning of the 19th century by a wall in which a flat door was opened. The monument's factory is ashlar masonry with additions of ashlar and brick. At the base of the parapet there is a thick highlighted listel and at its top retains full crenellation and adarve.(1)
